Rocinante is a Norseman 447 cutter rigged sloop, one of Robert Perry’s finest designs. He has even referred to it as his “masterpiece”. Built by Ta Shing, one of the most esteemed boat yards in the world, her sleek design and robust construction, combines speed and overall performance in a superbly coordinated blue water passage maker. We chose the center cockpit version because of the privacy the aft cabin offers and the more centralized salon, which is often doubles as our classroom. We chose this particular Norseman because she had some nice upgrades and one of the most important requirements—fiberglass, not teak decks.
